Jahtoya Means joined the Office of Academic Diversity and Inclusion (OADI) as the Office Manager in August 2019 overseeing the Office Ambassador program and Campus Visit. She is also an instructor for the UCOL 1200-First Year Seminar course. In 2022, she transitioned into the role of OADI's Assistant Director and Program Director for the University Transition Opportunities Program (UTOP).

Jahtoya has served in both academic and student departments such as the Office for Community Services and Student Engagement, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and the Office of Academic Affairs. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. She recieved her Bachelors in Political Science from Virginia Union University.  Jahtoya currently has her Master of Arts and Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Higher Education Community College and University Leadership from Appalachian State University.  She is dedicated to serving others, providing guidance to young women, and advocating for equal opportunities for minorities in higher education.
